Sonic Implants Releases Afro-Cuban Percussion Samples
August 3, 2000Sonic Network, Inc.,
(formerly Hruska Audio Productions), a leading creator
of high quality sounds and music for synthesizers, PCs
and the Internet, has announced the release of Definitive
Afro-Cuban Percussion Sample CD. Very high quality
recordings include ambient stereo and close mic'd mono
versions to give musicians complete control over their mix.
Hundreds of articulations (hits) per instrument and up to
4 multi-velocity samples from soft to loud make it easy to
create authentic percussion mixes.
Over several days at the famed Blue Jay Studios in Carlisle,
MA., recording engineer Mark Tanzer (NRBQ, Carly Simon,
Patty Larkin, Jerry Marotta, Livingston Taylor, Lyle Mays
and others) recorded Joe Galeota of JAG Drums playing his
huge collection of Latin instruments. "It took several
months of intense work by our lead sound designer,
Dave Quattrini, to process this huge volume of samples,"
said Sonic Network president, Jennifer Hruska. "We're
happy to finally be able to make this announcement,
since our regular customers were bombarding us with
e-mail requesting a release date."
