Deakon
Roads Guitars are designed for professional musicians and serious amateurs. Their
new solid body electric, the Intruder, was designed for performance and playability
by Glenn McDougall, Canada's veteran guitar designer.
The Intruder model
has three Deakon Roads high output single-coil pickups and a custom-designed bridge
system. High-grade electronics, nitro cellulose lacquer, Grover Mini-Rotomatic
tuners, and solid brass tailpiece assembly with adjustable intonation are other
key features of the design. The bolt-on rock maple neck has a 25" scale with
22 jumbo frets, and is fitted with a linear truss rod for stability. The comfort-carved,
soft maple body features double-cutaways and is 1 1/2" thick. Transparent
and metallic finishes are available in a wide range of colors, with choice of
maple or walnut fingerboard. Options are white pickguard and left-handed model.
