July 7, 2000The Native Instruments Pro-52 carries on the tradition from the legendary
days of vintage cult synthesizers. This virtual instrument for the Macintosh
and the Windows platform combines the sonic properties of the unique
originals with the practical requirements of the present day.
The new Pro-52 is able to import Prophet-5 SysEx sound data, which means it
can read and accurately reproduce all the existing sound libraries made for
the original. The subtle deviations from perfect behaviour which are typical
of analog circuits and crucial to the sound, can now be fine-tuned.
Also the new version offers built-in effects unit, adds multi-echo and
ultra-fat chorus and flanging effects. This makes the sound of the Pro-52
complete for both live performance and studio production. The included preset
sounds make extensive use of the effects. The Pro-52 also has an audio input,
for processing external audio signals through its filters.
The Native Instruments Pro-52 integrates perfectly into the computer based
virtual studio. With the popular interfaces VST® 2.0 and ASIO pioneered by
Steinberg, it can be used as a sequencer PlugIn or as a stand-alone
Synthesizer.
The Pro-52 replaces the Pro 5 which has been discountinued.
The Native Instruments Pro-52-Update is exclusively available from Steinberg
distribution directly. The Pro-52 Update is available beginning August. Users
are asked to return their original Pro-Five-CD. The Full-Version is also
available from beginning August 2000 at any Steinberg dealer worldwide. For more information, visit their web site at www.steinberg.net. |
