September 25, 2000Arturia is pleased to announce that a long awaited module, Morpheus, has been released. This polyphonic synthesizer is STORM's 12th virtual instrument, and STORM users can download it for free on their web site right now.
Technically very complete, this synthesizer combines all the qualities of a classic synthesizer :
- 2 oscillators with a wave table sweeping system, a ring modulator and a synchro mode
-
2 LFOs
-
a multi-mode filter
-
2 ADSR envelopes
-
128 users presets
-
64 patterns
-
like other STORM synthesizers, you can control the knobs with an external MIDI device, and you can play it with a MIDI keyboard.
The originality of this virtual instrument lies first in its wave table morphing system, which works with a 2D controller. Second, in its size: it will take 2 spaces on the rack.
Arturia plans on increasing the size of the rack in the next version of STORM to be able to use more modules at the same time.
This synthesizer is polyvalent. You can also use it to create massive and progressive pads and powerful leads. Although it is very complete, it remains easy to use thanks to the presets and to an "easy level".
The various possibilities of the module increase Storm's sound and technical resources, yet, STORM is still easy to use.
This new module increase Storm's capacities and it proves that Storm can integrate basic as well as professional virtual instruments.
