Wave Arts, Inc. releases WaveSurround DX
April 24, 2000
Wave Arts, Inc. announces the release of WaveSurround DX,
a stereo enhancement and reverb plug-in for DirectX compatible applications.
"WaveSurround DX marks our foray into the high end plug-in market and
is the first of several plug-ins that we will be marketing that feature our leading
edge audio technology", according to Bill Gardner, president of Wave Arts.
"We have extended the functionality of our popular WaveSurround for Winamp
plug-in to enable DirectX audio applications to enhance their tracks with WaveSurround
and Wave Arts' high quality reverb algorithm".
WaveSurround DX features Wave Arts' virtual speaker technology that can position
a virtual speaker anywhere around the listener. A high quality reverb algorithm
with five room models (chamber, club, hall, stadium and room) is also included.
WaveSurround DX allows users to adjust the virtual speaker placement, reverb parameters
(mix, time, size, pre-delay and damping) bass and volume settings.
Minimum system requirements for the plug-in are a 266 MHz Pentium CPU running
Win 95, 98, 2000 or NT. WaveSurround DX is priced at $89.95.
A free twenty-one day demonstration version can be downloaded from www.wavearts.com.
