DVD-Audio discs make it possible to deliver high-resolution Surround Sound and ultra-high resolution
stereo sound to the consumer. The medium is flexible in allowing multiple soundfile
formats on a single disc, and brings added features such as still images and on-screen menu to be
displayed on a TV screen.
Compiling a DVD-A disc with A-plus is simple. Just drag-and-drop soundfiles from one window to
another to create your playlist. Then hit the "Record" button, and the program will burn your DVD-Audio
disk. The program can accept 5.1 Surround recordings as 6 soundfiles or as an MLP-encoded
soundfile. The program can also place stereo recordings on the DVD. A-plus works with all sample
rates and bit depths allowed by the DVD-Audio format.
A-plus can automatically create an on-screen menu from the track titles. A-plus can also display a still
image during the playback of each track, and also a background image in the on-screen menu.
A-plus will work with the Pioneer S201 and A03 DVD recorders to record to DVD-R and DVD-RW.
A-plus runs under Windows 98, 2000, or NT.
A-plus is now shipping. Price is $1995.
