Veillette Guitars Announces Baritone 12-String Electric Guitar
March 19, 2001
Joe Veillette is proud to introduce another new voice for guitarists:
the world's first production Baritone 12-String Electric Guitar,
combining the depth, range and timbre of a baritone with the fullness
and shimmering jangle of a 12-string.
The MK V "Bari 12 Electric" is a
compact, and well-balanced solidbody with 2 Seymour Duncan stacked P-90
pickups. Controls consist of master volume, master tone,
series/parallel options as push/pull operation on the volume & tone
pots, and a pickup selector switch.
A 24-fret, one-piece hard rock
maple neck is attached to the body with the unique Veillette neck joint
arrangement that provides stability while using a single
machine bolt. A 26.1 inch scale length makes for easy playability with
twelve strings. A zero-fret allows for perfect intonation and simple
changing of string order for players who prefer reverse 12-string order,
with the fundamentals above the octaves. Baritone guitars are generally tuned from B to B or A to A,
although many players prefer C to C.
