"Unity Discrete Drums" ReleasedBased on the 12 CD "Discrete Drums" library produced by Rick DiFonzo April 10, 2002
BitHeadz, Inc., the music software
manufacturer, has just released "Unity Discrete Drums" the latest content
title for their sampler software titles Unity Session and Unity
DS-1.
The title contains stereo drum samples that are are in 24-bit audio.
BitHeadz, Inc. maintained the Discrete Drums concept of allowing the user to
control the level of the Room tracks. The advantage is where the Discrete
Drums concept uses individual audio tracks, this Unity content CD utilizes
Unity banks.
"All these drums were digitally recorded using ProTools Mix24 through a Neve
8232." said BitHeadz Sound Designer Adam Holland. He adds "Discrete Drums
was sampled at Hum Depot in Nashville TN, and the organic character of the
large wood paneled room brings a genuinely authentic acoustic dimension to
any song. The Unity technology lets you mix between the overhead and room
mic's using the mod wheel as if you were sitting at the console.2"
The Discrete Drums Unity drum sets each have three different banks: Dry -
just the natural drum set, Room - just the room track by themselves, & Mix -
a bank that contains links to the other two banks (Dry & Room) and has
several preset mixes of the room level. In this bank the user can also
adjust the amount of room track to their taste. Unity Discrete Drums has an
MSRP of $199.00 USD.
