Sherlock Audio's SpeakerMate line of multi-speaker to amp interface units is now available. Since the drastically reduced impedance of multiple speakers isn't tolerated by most amps, SpeakerMate was designed to solve this problem, allowing the connection & operation of multiple speaker cabinets, from any amp, while still maintaining a safe operating load.
SpeakerMate allows safe operation of
up to EIGHT separate speaker units from a single stereo amp in remote field locations
where available AC power required for powering multiple amps is limited.
SpeakerMate offers a solution for musicians looking to add more spl and coverage by allowing the connection & operation of more speaker cabinets from their existing amp,without having to buy additional power amplifiers to drive these. SpeakerMate
can also be used with combo amps not equipped with an external speaker jack output.
Speakermate can also be used by bands-on-a-budget, allowing them to drive up to SIX typical floor wedge monitors off a single power amp output.
The available models include:
Model Four ($89.00), for combo and tube amps,up to 150watts, allows operation of up to four separate speaker cabinets from an amp's single speaker output.(4.25"wX2.25"dX1.25"h)
Model Six ($99.00), for higher power tube & solid state amps,allows operation of up to six separate speaker cabinets from an amp's single speaker output.(4.25"wX2.25"dX1.25"h)
Model Eight ($119.00), allows operation of up to eight separate cabinets off a dual output
(stereo)amp.(4.75"wX3.75"dX1.25"h)
