Open Labs has accelerated efforts in
production of the OpenSynth eKo in order to better meet
demand.
As a result, Open Labs has initiated a domestic pre-order
program to deliver units to dealers and end users who have
expressed interest in securing an eKo from the first
production run.
To commemorate the launch of the eKo workstation, the first
1,000 units are earmarked to be limited Signature Series
models. Each Signature eKo will include a hand-signed,
individually numbered chassis in addition to a
certification of authenticity, and special commemorative
items.
Open Labs first introduced the OpenSynth eKo, a true open
platform music workstation at the winter NAMM show as an
industry rollout. At the show, Open Labs gathered and
analyzed feedback to refine the features and design
specifications for the production models now available for
pre-order.
Starting at $1995, the eKo is now available direct at
www.openlabs.com or through authorized dealers who can also
be found on the website. Custom configurations as well as
pre-configured models are available for domestic customers.
Open Labs will initiate the international launch of the eKo
at the Frankfurt musikmesse Convention on March 5, 2003,
where international sales and distribution will commence.
"While attending the NAMM show we were finally able to see
our products in the hands of so many talented artists and
industry alumni and the overwhelming excitement simply
pushed us to work harder to make the eKo available to
them", said Open Labs CEO Victor Wong.
Shipment of the eKo is scheduled to commence in the second
quarter of 2003.
