Riff Interactive has released a new Interactive Guitar Lesson CD-ROM product: Eddie Van Halen Style (retail $10.95, sale $9.95).
In this lesson series
you'll learn how to play like the incomparable Eddie Van Halen. Eddie came
to prominence with Van Halen in the late 70's. His first album floored
guitarists with a combination of technique, tone and riffs. His
unaccompanied solo 'Eruption' sent every rock guitarist back to the
'woodshed' to practice their picking, legato and a new must-know technique:
'two-handed tapping'. This lesson series covers many of Eddie's techniques
and signature licks.
Storm Stenvold is a successful teacher and musician. He has studied music
since age 8, playing guitar and bass guitar for the past 17 years. Storm
attended the University of California - Berkeley and graduated with honors
from Musicians Institute - Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT). His
instructors included Scott Henderson, Paul Gilbert, Steve Trovato, Ron
Eschete and Keith Wyatt. He has recorded guitar for Warner Brothers
production team, Mephisto Odyssey, and for his own original bands. Storm won
radio station KSJO's "Best Guitarist" competition in 1997.
The CD-ROM features:
- Interactive tab/notation that syncs to the actual guitar audio.
- Virtual guitar neck showing the notes being played and the fingering.
- Select, loop, slow media and tab notation down to your desired speed while maintaining original pitch.
- Videos and looping jam tracks to practice with.
