New Orchestral Percussion Library Released for Akai MPC June 14, 2004
MPCsounds.com announced
"Orchestral Percussion", a new sound library for the Akai
MPC1000/2000/XL/3000/LE/4000 drum machines.
Nearly a $100k worth of orchestral percussion
instruments were rounded up to create this new
MPC library. Recorded digitally in a concert hall
with virtuoso musicians, this new library offers a large set of orchestral percussion
samples!
The full "Orchestral Percussion" instruments list includes: Drums (concert
snare and piccolo snare, concert bass drum, concert toms,
tympani), Cymbals (crash cymbal, piatti cymbals, splash
cymbal, ride cymbal, tam-tam gong, and automobile brake
drum), Tuned percussion (glockenspiel, marimba, xylophone,
and orchestral chimes), and Orchestral percussion (claves,
woodblock, castanets, jam block, tambourine, agogo bells,
sleigh bells, slapstick, bell tree, vibraslap, temple blocks,
cowbell, cabasa, and shakers).
Turbo versions of the "Orchestral Percussion" library are
offered on MPC CD-ROM and Zip disks, while regular
versions are available on Floppy or as Downloadable
sets (Mac & PC supported). Turbo versions contain more
instruments, with many more articulations and longer
samples.
Some programs require expanded memory, but pared-down
versions are also included for users with stock 2 Meg
memory.
The "Orchestral Percussion" library is available on MPC CD-ROM,
Zip disk, Floppy, or as Downloadable sets. Prices start at $29.95.
