Unitonic™ today announced the official release of Aurora™ 2.0, the next-generation version of their advanced plug-in synth for Pro Tools|HD® Accel systems. In addition to a redesigned interface and a host of features never-before-available on any synthesizer, Aurora 2.0 includes an expansive preset library of unique patches that showcase its revolutionary tone generating capabilities.
Aurora's preset voice library contains over 300 patches in a variety of different instrumental flavors, from deep, pulsing basses to wide atmospheric pads to new types of richly expressive sounds. These voices take advantage of Aurora's unique synthesis process, which fuses pure additive synthesis with frequency/pulse & noise modulation and non-linear wave distortion. Features such as parametric sequencers, looping envelopes and user-programmable waveforms combine to create amazing sonic textures, all generated within the Pro Tools TDM environment.
In addition to its new sound generation capabilities, Aurora 2.0 offers a redesigned and expanded visual interface, with multiple edit modes and richly detailed graphic displays. Combining elegant form with well-considered function, Aurora 2.0 sets a new standard in interface design for digital musical instruments.
Aurora is available for download from the Unitonic website or from any authorized Pro Tools dealer for a suggested retail price of US$699. Currently, Aurora supports Digidesign® Pro Tools|HD Accel systems running on the Macintosh platform only. An update supporting the Windows XP platform is scheduled for release in 2006.
System Requirements
