Carr Amplifiers Debuts "The Vincent" Guitar Amplifier

Carr Amplifiers is happy to introduce their new amp model for Febuary 2007—The Vincent.
The Vincent is a Class A, 6L6-based amp with separate bias resistor for each power tube. Because of this, having a good match on the power tubes is not necessary (Carr will still ship them with a matched pair). The Vincent is biased deeply into Class A, much more so than the Rambler, giving the amp a pushed, ready-to-jump feel. The vibe from The Vincent is explosive and forward-tilting. It distorts very well in a 'large curd' Tweedish way when cranked. The clean tone is gorgeous and dimensional.
Features include reverb, two power levels (33 or 7 watts), variable Drive control—which is like a clean boost in the circuit and gives the amp more push and OD when the amp is turned up—you can hear more of the winding on wound strings and dynamic, wonderful twang. Lastly, a footswitchable fixed boost (partial tone stack bypass) greatly increases midrange punch and yields a wonderful grind—the volume increase is just right for a solo or if the amp is really overdriving it thickens and adds sustain (lighted footswitch included).
Controls include: Volume, Treble, Mid (with panel on/off for boost), Bass, Reverb, Drive, Power level. The cabinets are solid pine with dovetailed corners. We are using the Eminence Wizard speakers.
The 1-12 combo's dimensions are 21" wide by 16" tall by 10" deep at the bottom, sloping to 9" deep at the top (this is 1.5" shorter than the Rambler). The 2-12 combo is 27.5" wide by 17.75" high by 10" deep at the bottom, sloping to 9" deep at the top.
