Eastwood Guitars Expands Signature Series With Limited Edition Buzzcocks Model

Eastwood has teamed up with Buzzcocks front man Pete Shelley, to create a reproduction of his famous Guitar. The guitar — which in true punk fashion was broken in two pieces — was used exclusively on the recording and live performances before Pete retired it in late 1978. The two parts were recently reunited at the opening of the flagship Doc Martens shop in Manchester. The Buzzcocks were the first punk group to establish an independent record label, setting the stage for a revolution in the music industry.
This special production has been limited to only 88 guitars, each with an individual "x of 88" serial number, each personally hand-signed by Pete Shelley and each includes loads of Buzzcocks memorabilia — repro 8 x 10 1977 photograph, Buzzcocks leather strap, white curly cord and Pete Shelley Signature Strings. All 88 guitars also include a custom fit hardshell case with Pete Shelley Signature, Buzzcocks Logo and numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
The guitar will be featured at the upcoming NAMM show (booth #1151) and it will start shipping in January 2008.
