Heavy Electronics Releases The Ascend Clean Boost Pedal

February 20, 2008

(Click for a close-up)

The Heavy Electronics Ascend is a refined one knob clean boost. Discrete analog design allows this exquisite boost to be balanced and true. Wonderfully transparent and clear, yet powerful. Drives reverb tanks beautifully with its strong and concise low end. At the extreme push can even be used to drive tube amplifiers into distortion, allowing the pedal (and your guitar) to speak through the voice of the amp in a new way. Like the other Heavy Electronics Series One pedals, the push features the innovative Voltage Starve Circuit that allows the user to decrease the input voltage from 9 to .1 volts (and everywhere in between). In junction with the Voltage Starve circuit, (adjusted internally) the Push becomes serene with abundant warm lower mids and subtle compression. Frequencies seem to melt into one another rather than stand apart.
