Planet Waves Unveils New Improved Planet Lock Strap

Preserving the origin of the Planet Waves line, D'Addario has taken straps to a new level, allowing musicians to express personality and style with their music but also with their straps. With the addition of new designs and innovations such as the Planet Lock release, Stoned Leather and Retro Collections, as well as the new Pat Metheny Signature Straps, Planet Waves simplifies while providing style.

Planet Waves Planet Lock release is a guitar strap with integrated locking ends that prevent potentially damaging instrument falls. The Planet Lock Strap is available in the five best selling strap patterns with a retail price of $29.99. "Our new and improved design for the Planet Lock release guitar strap has resulted in a product with 60 percent smaller strap ends and an improved locking mechanism," comments Brian Vance, Senior Product Manager. The Planet Waves best-selling Retro Collection is introducing five new woven strap patterns with high quality leather ends inspired by fashions of the fifties, sixties, and seventies. The straps are made of tubular nylon for a comfort fit, have a built-in pick pocket and come with a free pick! These new straps will retail for $26.99.

Guitar great Pat Metheny has designed two new strap patterns for Planet Waves under the Pat Metheny Signature Straps brand. The straps feature exciting "world influenced" designs — Travels and Watercolors — and utilize tubular nylon for comfort and high quality leather ends for a secure fit. Retail price will be $29.99.
