Several new colors, which have been added to various popular Fender guitar series, will be
introduced at this year's NAMM show in Anaheim. Fender's American Standard Series, which
includes Stratocaster and Telecaster models as well as the P-Bass, Jazz Bass and Jazz
Bass V, are now offered in new Inca Silver.
In the Deluxe and Plus series, the Telecaster Plus will now be available in Teal Green Metallic, and
the Deluxe Strat Plus in Shoreline Gold. The Deluxe Precision ($1199.99), Deluxe Jazz and Deluxe
Jazz V ($1249.99) basses are being offered in both Shoreline Gold and Teal Green Metallic.
In the U.S. Vintage series, the '52 Tele(R) is now offered in both Black and Copper finishes. The '57
and '62 Stratocaster are available in Shoreline Gold, giving devoted fans of the guitar a total of seven
colors from which to choose. Existing colors include 3-color Sunburst, Black, Candy Apple Red,
Fiesta Red and Vintage White.
The Fender Custom Shop also has new colors to introduce to the 60's "Relic" Stratocaster. The
60's Relic Strat(R) which is currently offered in Olympic White, is now available in 3-color Sunburst
as well as four Custom Color options and a Gold Hardware option. The Custom Color options
include Daphne Blue, Lake Placid Blue, Fiesta Red and Burgundy Mist Metallic.
Olympic White has been added as a new color to the 60's "Relic" Jazz Bass, which had only been
available in 3-color Sunburst.
"While we've already got a variety of great colors for people to choose from, we thought adding a
few new options would result in a very positive response from our customers," says Mike Lewis,
Fender's marketing manager for electric guitars. "We think these new colors will turn out to be
extremely popular." For more information, visit their web site at www.fender.com. |
