Digidesign Ships Cross-Platform 5.3.3 Plug-Ins CD

Digidesign has announced the 5.3.3 Digidesign Plug-Ins CD for Pro Tools 5.3.x and 5.1.x, supporting Windows XP- and Mac-based Pro Tools systems, is shipping. The 5.3.3 Digidesign Plug-Ins CD provides the latest Digidesign plug-in support on both Mac and Windows XP Pro Tools systems. All plug-ins included on the Digidesign Plug-Ins CD are fully cross-platform and ensure OS compatibility when moving a Pro Tools session between Macintosh and Windows operating systems. Additionally, this CD provides full support for Macintosh 5.1.x Pro Tools systems.
The 5.3.3 Digidesign Plug-Ins CD marks the initial release of four Digidesign plug-ins for the
Windows XP platform:
- Access Virus
- Digidesign Bruno/Reso
- Digidesign DINR BNR
- Digidesign Reverb One
In addition to the above, the 5.3.3 Digidesign Plug-Ins CD contains the most current versions of the following plug-ins for both Windows- and Mac-based Pro Tools systems:
- Digidesign D-Fi
- Digidesign D-fx
- Digidesign D-Verb
- Digidesign DPP-1
- Digidesign Maxim
- Digidesign SoundReplacer
- Digidesign SurroundScope
- Drawmer Dynamics

Digidesign plug-ins provide support for both Floppy Disk and iLok USB Key authorization methods. Some Digidesign plug-ins can only be authorized using the iLok USB key that is often included with Pro Tools systems and can be purchased separately via Digidesign Dealers and the
Digidesign Web Store at store.digidesign.com.. The iLok is a portable, cross-platform USB device used to authorize software options for Pro Tools systems. The iLok is similar to a dongle, but unlike dongles, was designed to securely authorize multiple software applications from a variety of software developers. Authorizations can be added to the iLok USB key using an iLok License Card, a plastic card with a small, punch-out GSM plastic chip. The chip is used to move authorizations to the iLok USB keys.
Customers who already own a valid authorization for a Digidesign plug-in can install updated versions of the Digidesign plug-ins from their current Pro Tools Software CD or download the latest versions from the Digidesign website.

Digidesign-approved Macintosh Pro Tools system running Pro Tools 5.1 and higher; or
Digidesign-approved Windows Pro Tools system running Pro Tools 5.3 and higher; PACE iLok USB hardware key.
