Genz Benz to Become Part of Kaman Music September 14, 2003Kaman Music Corporation announced that it has acquired Genz Benz Enclosures, Inc. of Scottsdale, Arizona, a maker of amplification and sound reinforcement products. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed.
Genz Benz has been working closely with Kaman Music for several years through an exclusive distribution agreement. Jeff and Cathy Genzler, who founded Genz Benz in 1983, will continue to manage the company.
Bob Saunders, president of Kaman Music, said "Jeff and Cathy have created a company with an excellent reputation for quality products and attentive customer service. This acquisition will allow them to spend more time developing new products, designs and services. Genz Benz's line of guitar, bass, acoustic, and PA amplification systems are a logical complement to Kaman's Ovation, Takamine and Hamer guitars."
