EH Releases New Guitar Preamp Tube

Electro-Harmonix has added the 12AX7EH preamp tube for guitar amplifiers to its line of premium quality vacuum tubes. Electro-Harmonix sound effects are world renowned for the soulful warmth of their analog sound and the new 12AX7EH continues this legacy of classic tone.

Electro-Harmonix tube engineers took the high gain, low-noise, ultra-linear designs of the classic Mullard and Telefunken tube-types and added a tad of tasteful second-order harmonics to create the new 12AX7EH - their finest preamp tube designed specifically for guitar amp applications.

The 12AX7EH's special plate design results in super-low microphonics balanced with high gain. The unique spiral filament eliminates filament to cathode induced hum common on amps that use AC on the filaments.
