SoUnDEnGiNe.com announced the availability of a new collection of sampled drum machines and drum modules: "3500 Drums." 3500 Drums is a collection of drum samples in mono and stereo at 44.1Khz. All the classic drum machines and modules of the past are represented. Over 3500 license-free drum samples are on this CD-ROM for use in performances and compositions. Most of these samples were recorded directly into a Macintosh G4 Computer using the Lexicon Studio 20-bit audio PCI Interface. Others were recorded directly into an AKAI S-1000, which has a clean 16-bit A/D. Samples are grouped by instrument and type - many are organized in kit form for drag-n-drop convenience. "3500 Drums" is available now at SoUnDEnGiNe.com and has an MSRP of only $19.95. Kurzweil and AKAI native editions are due in the coming months. The CD-ROM is in ISO-9660 format, offering compatibility for both Mac and PC owners, and samplers that import WAV files directly, like the K2600,the A5000, the ASR-X, and the Motif. These files are easily dragged and dropped into Cakewalk, Logic, and Cubase. Of course, the Gigasampler versions work with Gigasampler. Recent Sound Engineering headlines
