Fender will unveil updates on two of its Acoustasonic Series amplifiers at this coming winter NAMM show. Fender's Acoustasonic Jr. and Acoustasonic 30 have now been fitted with on board DSP effects that add more versatility the acoustic amps. The available DSP effects include Reverb, Delay, Chorus, Vibratone, and more, all of which are specially designed and optimized for acoustic performers.

The new Acoustasonic Jr. DSP is an updated version of the Fender Acoustasonic Junior. It is a portable combo amp designed for natural-sounding reproduction of electric-acoustic guitar and vocals. The new onboard DSP effects and XLR output add extra utility.

The Acoustasonic Jr. DSP uses two 40-Watt power sections to drive a pair of 8" foam-surround low-frequency drivers and a high-frequency Tweeter. The amp's two separate Instrument and Microphone channels each contain individual EQ controls, Phase switches for feedback reduction, FX Select and FX Level. Fender's String Dynamics control is designed to tame harsh treble notes on the Instrument channel, and Feedback Notch control helps remove feedback problems associated with Piezo pickups.

Phantom Power is supplied at the XLR Mic Input. XLR Line Output with Level control and Ground Lift allow for direct input to a mixer. Fender tilt-back legs aim the sound where it's needed, and an optional 2-button footswitch allows FX On/Off selection for each channel. US MSRP is $639.99.
