PRESS RELEASE
Antares to Bring Auto-Tune to TC's PowerCore
April 29, 2001
Advertisement Antares Audio Technologies announced that they had entered into a third party development agreement with TC WORKS Soft- & Hardware GmbH to bring their Auto-Tune 3 pitch correcting plug-in to the TC-POWERCORE DSP accelerator board. TC-POWERCORE brings massive dedicated DSP capability to any VST compatible audio recording application. With TC-POWERCORE, one can use multiple tracks of Auto-Tune 3 pitch correction with no risk of reducing overall track count or stealing precious CPU processing capacity. "Although the power of native CPUs is increasing at a rapid rate, the serious user's demand for more processing power is increasing much faster," said Marco Alpert, Antares Vice President of Marketing. "Between ever more power-hungry plug-ins and the desire to run more plug-ins on more tracks simultaneously, even the fastest CPUs are quickly overloaded. We feel TC-POWERCORE is an ideal solution for serious users of VST applications looking to maximize their processing power. And naturally, we feel that they will want to take advantage of TC-POWERCORE to run Auto-Tune 3. It is our expectation that this will be the first of many Antares products to support TC-POWERCORE."
