Avant Electronics Introduces Avantone CK-40 Stereo Microphone

Avant Electronics has introduces the AVANTONE CK-40 Stereo Microphone, which offers a wide range of versatility for stereo recording.

The AVANTONE CK-40 STEREO Microphone provides "Wide-Ranging Versatility" for a variety of Stereo Miking situations. The AVANTONE CK-40 Stereo Class A FET microphone features twin LARGE 35mm center-terminated pressure gradient transducers. The top capsule/grill assembly rotates up to 180 degrees relative to the lower capsule/grill assembly. This feature along with the multi-pattern independent selector choices allow for almost all stereo recording techniques to be utilized. (XY-Coincident / Blumlein, M-S)

"With 3 pattern selects per capsule, -10 dB pads and LF roll-off switches, the CK-40 is equipped for any stereo application that you throw at it including MS (Mid-Side) Recording", confirmed Glen Heffner, V.P. of Sales and Market Development for Avant Electronics. "There are so many sonic and spatial options available with this mic that we anticipate many engineers will appreciate the ability to expand their creative stereo recording capabilities using the CK-40".

Precision machined of BRASS, the CK-40 features a stylish Metallic Cabernet Wine-Red finish, accented with polished nickel trim and plated steel grills. A Discreet Class A Low-Noise FET circuit is utilized to yield pleasing professional results.

Uses include studio vocal groups, piano, guitar, drums, as well as recording live events such as orchestral and choral performances.

The CK-40 comes complete with a Custom Retro Shock Mount, Padded, Zippered Mic Pouch, 1x2 Splitter Box, 5 Pin Cable, Foam Wind Filter & Padded Aluminum Storage/Travel Case. Retail $599.
