Mapex Offers Limited Edition Copper Finish

Mapex Drums is offering Benchmark Copper drum sets for a limited time, the company announced. The kits are the second in a line of Limited Edition lacquered-finish drumsets, following the Carmel Fade kits. The Carmel Fade drumsets sold out 23 days after their release earlier this year. The Benchmark Copper drums are available in Pro-M and M-Series editions. Benchmark Copper drum sets will be available from Mapex in two configurations, both featuring a 22" x 18" bass drum and an optional 8" x 7" rack tom. Standard configuration will include short-shell toms measuring 10" x 7" and 12" x 8" and a 14" x 14" floor tom. The alternate arrangement includes larger toms measuring 12" x 8" and 13" x 9", as well as a 16" x 16" floor tom. Mapex's Pro-M line is made from 7.1mm alternating 7-ply maple and basswood shells. M-Series kits include 8.1mm alternating 8-ply maple and basswood shells to deliver deep tones. These kits also include Mapex's non-penetrating I.T.S. (Isolated Tom System), 2.3mm Rigid Chrome steel hoops and double-braced hardware. All Mapex Drums are equipped with Remo drumheads.
