Built with select woods, the new Johnson Catalyst basses feature tops crafted from quilted maple for a gorgeous look. The body is made from solid alder for added tone and resilience. Johnson Catalyst basses are built with active electronics and are available in 4, 5, and 6 string models with list prices starting at $450.00. Johnson Catalyst basses are built with a one-piece maple neck. The neck is adorned with a bound rosewood fretboard and nickel/silver frets. It is topped with inlaid mother-of-pearl fret markers in a sharktooth design. Johnson Catalyst basses also feature diecast gold-plated tuners for reduced string slippage.
