CreamWare Sells 3rd Party Devices On-Line

November 15, 2000

Recently CreamWare has opened its online shop to third-party companies developing plugins for the Pulsar/SCOPE platform. So far SPL, Amptown/Grenzfrequenz and Orbitone are taking advantage of this service. Plug-ins from additional third-party developers are already planned. New devices, such as the ZARG synthesizer creations from legendary synth developer John Bowen, will soon be available through CreamWare’s online server.

As with CreamWare’s own offerings, 10-hour evaluation versions of all devices are available for downloading free of charge.

“By offering our e-commerce system to other manufacturers we want to create a world-wide central distribution point for our users and the potential customers of third-party manufacturers. Because of the almost confusing variety of plug-ins available for Pulsar/SCOPE, it became obvious for us to take this step. This centralization will give our customers a better overview and a clear picture of the products available”, according to President Frank Hund.

To launch CreamWare’s new online shop concept, Orbitone’s international developer team provided three outstanding offerings. Their flagship product, Syn-Chrome, is a synthesizer based on an innovative architecture capable of producing a broad spectrum of creative, new synthesizer sounds. The Orbitone Impressor is a comprehensive dynamics processor. Among other things, the Impressor serves as a compressor, limiter, de-esser, side-chain compressor, bass maximizer/minimizer, expander, and gate. The Psy-Fi effects package offers three devices: the Faza phaser, Flanga (flanger and chorus) and Sfera, a combination of a phaser and a flanger. These effects are extremely flexible, and their capabilities extend far beyond what you would expect from “normal” effects packages.

From Amptown/Grenzfrequenz comes the monophonic Synchrotron Lead Synthesizer. Along with a step sequencer the package includes an array of effects such as delay, compressor, chorus, EQ, and more - all designed specifically for today’s electronic music producer.
