DiGiCo Showcases Digital Consoles Plus New SD7 Software Suite At InfoComm09

Now, with the development of the MACH2 Software Suite, even more power has been unlocked from the Super FPGAs in DiGiCo's Stealth Processing engine. MACH2 is part of DiGiCo's ongoing commitment to its ever-increasing customer base and ensures its product is always at the cutting-edge of technology for sonic quality, features and facilities. MACH2 brings with it a huge number of never-before-seen enhancements: DiGi-TuBe (the world's first Super FPGA preamp tube emulation, with full drive and bias control, available on all 256 processing paths, including channels, auxes, groups or matrix); Dynamic EQ (individually switchable and now available on all 256 processing paths and on all four EQ bands); Multi Band Compressor (on all 256 paths, adding an extra two compressors per path); Effects (another first are the 16 floating point stereo Super FPGA Stealth digital reverbs); Talk-to-buss with dim function (designed with the monitor engineer in mind, this is a dedicated talkback channel that can be routed to any aux buss, allowing direct communication to any wedge or in ear mix); 8 bands of Parametric EQ (now available for all 128 busses for auxes, groups and matrix adding an astounding 512 bands of EQ to the console). Since unveiling its progressive SD7 system in the fall of 2007, the buzz around this groundbreaking console has reverberated worldwide, and featured at the helm of many prominent live productions from Janet Jackson to Madonna to The Who. Powering the SD7 is DiGiCo's latest in high density digital processing, the all-new Stealth mixing and routing engine exclusive to DiGiCo. Based on the latest incarnation of FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) technology, known as Super FPGA, it's a core component of the SD7's quantum leap in console design. Allied to two of the latest generation of SHARC?? effects, dynamics and control processors, it endows the console with a staggering eight times the overall processing power of a D5 Live. The benefits are to be found not only in the high resolution audio processing that makes 128 simultaneous 192kHz signal paths readily achievable, or 256 at 48kHz/96kHz, but limitless flexibility too. Make the most of 448 simultaneous optical and 224 MADI and 24 integral connections, and 128 busses plus 32 matrix busses, 32 graphic equalisers, to build the biggest and most complex shows. DiGiCo features latest & greatest consoles at InfoComm09 DiGiCo's revered CS-D5 live digital mixing system's technical advantages include a full 48 busses (ideal for coping with the ever-increasing use of in-ear monitors), 128 input channels (which can be increased with extra DSP to 160), 224 inputs and 224 outputs (to enable large routing capabilities for multi-stage events and large orchestral performances), 41 touch sensitive faders, four touch screens and multi-operator ability give direct instant access to crucial parameters, despite the compact frame size. The CS-D5's MADI (standard) and Optocore™ (optional) interfaces improve versatility compared to proprietary systems, and the ability to share stage racks integrates live performance, broadcast, FOH and monitors, and eliminates the need for mic splitters. Sound quality remains peerless with the CS-D5's 40-bit floating-point audio processing, which maintains a far greater dynamic range in a complex mix than other consoles' fixed point processing.
