Disc Makers Introduces Custom Apparel For Indie Musicians
October 17, 2006
Advertisement Disc Makers is now offering custom apparel and accessories for music artists, including free design services and low minimums. The new program is called Merch and helps independent musicians to outfit their fans in a variety of stylish, customized garments emblazoned with the artist's name, logo, or design. Merch is easy to use and doesn't require high minimum orders like many apparel companies. "When I played in a band it was always a complicated, frustrating process to get T-shirts printed with our band graphics," says Tony van Veen, Disc Makers' Executive Vice President. "Yet, tees and other wearables were always the items that sold the most at our gigs. Disc Makers is proud to introduce this new service that makes it easy and affordable for independent artists to successfully outfit their fans with great gear. A short run of 24 custom T-shirts start at just $6.99 each, so every artist now can afford to add offer merchandise to their fans and earn a great profit at the same time." Merchandise is an important revenue stream for artists. Many musicians rely on the sale of merchandise at CD release parties, gigs, and on Web sites and tours to build revenue, recognition, and fan loyalty. However, the cost of high minimum orders, graphic design, and long turnaround times have often excluded the indie music maker from being able to offer merchandise to fans. Merch is Disc Makers' answer to this dilemma, giving independent artists industry favorites like premium and long sleeve T's, hoodies, trucker hats, baseball caps, skullies, and baby T's.
