Advertisement E4 Platinum is E-MU's flagship and latest addition to the Emulator 4 Ultra family of Sampling Synthesizers, and represents the pinnacle of sampling technology available to musicians today. E4 Platinum features E-MU's new RFX-32 Effects Processor/Mixer Card, 128 voice polyphony, 128 MB of RAM, 16 analog outputs, 16 ADAT outputs, 6 analog inputs, 8 ADAT inputs, 2 SCSI ports, 20 CD-ROMs and large IDE hard drive. New RFX-32 Processor Standard E4 Platinum features E-MU's new 32-bit RFX-32 Effects Processor/Mixer Card, which offers users 16 stereo, studio-quality effects "blocks" at one time. The RFX-32 Card has been developed around E-MU's new proprietary R-Chip, that offers DSP power unmatched by any other effects processor on the market today. "The E4 Platinum and RFX-32 Card significantly increase the power and flexibility of the already market-leading E4 Ultra sampler line," comments Sean Wilhelmsen, Director of Product Planning. "The E4 Platinum brings more power to the table in three rackspaces than any other instrument on the planet," he adds. E4 Platinum also ships with 128 MB of RAM, a 20 CD-ROM bundle, and a large IDE hard drive. Total Integration into the Studio In addition to offering musicians and sound designers the most advanced sampling and sound-sculpting tools available, like 128 voice polyphony, Beat-Mungingª and Z-Plane filters, E4 Platinum also offers users a powerful internal digital mixer and flexible routing architecture that can serve as the centerpiece of any studio. Using its new 24-bit analog and ADAT inputs and outputs, users can now route external signals into the E4 Platinum, through its synthesis and effects engines and pass the signal out through any of its analog, ADAT and AES/EBU outputs. "E4 Platinum represents E-MU's commitment to the professional market that demands state-of-the-art technology and uncompromising sound quality," states Scott Emmerman, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Americas. "E4 Platinum is the culmination of several technologies that have been developed at E-MU over the past few years, and marks a milestone in the convergence and integration of performance instruments and studio processors and mixers," he adds.
