PRESS RELEASE
EastWest Shipping Toontrack Expansion Packs for dfh EZdrummer
October 24, 2006
Advertisement EastWest is now shipping three new Toontrack expansion packs for EZdrummer: Latin Percussion EZX, Drumkit From Hell EZX, and Vintage Brushes and Sticks EZX. All are priced at $89 MSRP. Latin Percussion EZX for EZdrummer contains the percussion sounds from Toontrack's dfh Superior. The sounds have been mixed further at Toontrack Studios and the EZX includes MIDI files that will add that extra groove on top of your steady drum track. Drumkit From Hell—aka DFH—originally came about to address Toontrack's need for better and more natural drums for the production work they were doing. The DFH EZX contains the essence of what Toontrack is originally all about. This version of DFH includes both the original DFH release and the Add-On Pack. All sounds have been re-mixed and have custom MIDI files added from Fredrik Thordendal plus MIDI played by Ove Lingvall from Nocturnal Rites. The Vintage Brushes and Sticks EZX contains one of the kits from the soon to be released Superior Vintage Add-on, the Ludwig Keystone Drum Set. This 60's era Ludwig set belongs to 2khz Studio owner Nick Yeatman. The Ludwig Keystone Kit has been mixed by producer Peter Henderson and Mattias Eklund from Toontrack Music and with it they've added the classic Ludwig Black Beauty and a Slingerland Radio King snares, a number of cool complimentary cymbals and topped it all up with customized MIDI for both sticks and brushes. These three Toontrack expansion packs have been picked to cover a broad range of user needs and requests in the wake of the release of EZdrummer. Toontrack is also negotiating the production of an all new batch of expansion packs planned for the end of the year or the beginning of next. These will feature specific genres, artists or instrument groups. For more information, visit their web site at http://www.soundsonline.com/.Recent EastWest headlines
