Fractal Audio Ships Axe-FX Preamp/Effects Processor

Fractal Audio Systems is now shipping the Axe-Fx Preamp / Effects Processor.

This revolutionary new product combines dynamic amplifier simulation with high-quality effects. Fractal's Dynamic Response Technology (DRT™) captures the dynamic response of a real tube amplifier. This gives the musician not only the sound, but the feel they are accustomed to.

Along with the ability to run two different amp simulations simultaneously the Axe-Fx features all the modern and classic effects, including chorus, flanger, delay, reverb, phaser, rotary cabinet, wah, formant synthesizer, graphic and parametric eq, fuzz, pitch shifter and many more. The Axe-Fx contains 40 different amplifier simulations along with 17 cabinet models and eight microphone models.

Effects can be placed in any order, and in series and parallel combinations using the grid-based routing feature. A routable effects loop allows the use of other effects anywhere in the signal chain.

Full, real-time control of parameters is provided via a host of internal controllers (LFO's, sequencer, etc.) as well as external expression pedals and MIDI continuous controllers.
