Fractal Audio Systems Announces Free Upgrade for its Axe-Fx Line

Continuing its commitment to providing customers with world-class service and support, Fractal Audio is pleased to release Version 6.00 firmware for its award-winning Axe-Fx and Axe-Fx Ultra processors.
This major release includes:
- 17 new cabinet models based on classic and modern 1x12, 2x12 and 4x12 cabinets as well as several new bass cabinet models
- A new bass amp model that accurately simulates a legendary American 300w rock-n-roll staple
- A new pedal-style compressor that models the signature response and ease-of-use of classic compressor pedals that sometimes elude some of their more feature rich recording studio counterparts
- Increased impulse response resolution, giving Axe-Fx cabinet simulations at least 2x the resolution of any other dedicated processor
- Enhanced audio transformer simulation in the form of a "Thump" parameter allowing users to add low end punch while maintaining or increasing clarity and definition
