Te new Jet 6114 guitars from Gretsch embrace simple clean lines and a straight-up, solid body electric setup. Outfitted with TV Jones Dual FilterTron pickups, Tune-O-Matic bridge and a G-stop tailpiece; the sound is pure Gretsch. The lightweight mahogany body is capped with a carved maple top and flame maple laminate to create the perfect balance between tone, beauty and player comfort. The finish is a smooth, deep clear gloss over a see-through-stain of either vibrant red or antique maple. The 2-piece mahogany neck is fitted with an ebonized rosewood fingerboard and the classic Gretsch "Humped" block inlays. The 24.6" scale makes string bending smooth over the finely finished jumbo frets. Controls are simple, straight ahead, classic Gretsch. Toggle switching and volume or tone roll-offs operate smoothly and silently. Turn down the master or pickup volume and you get a clear, warm, jazzy, mid-rich sound tone. Crank'er up and she blazes clear, unadulterated, Gretsch rock-a-billy. The trapeze tail adds a slight but detectable ringing to the top end. Nice. Specifications
