July 23, 2009
Advertisement Jeff Smith with Gadotti Guitars unveiled the Buster B. Jones Legacy model during Tribute to Buster at the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society in Nashville on July 8th 2009. Buster B. Jones co-deigned a guitar with Jeanfranco Gadotti. The guitar was 1 month from completion when Buster died in February of this year at age 49. The Buster B. Jones Legacy Model is a Nylon String Electric designed to his exact specifications and is a testimony of his talent as a player and innovator of the instrument. It features a 2" width neck, Padauk back and Curly Maple soundboard. The fretboard is also Padauk with Curly Maple binding. The Legacy Model also features a metal Gadotti logo and LR Baggs Element Active pickup system under the bridge and will be made in a limited # of 49 commemorating each year of his life. Buster requested changes from the Nylon King Model. His request included a 2" neck, weight balance and change in body design for the thumb of the left hand in upper register playing. The tonal range is enhanced by the chambered body which he demanded be good for soft jazz and Buster boogie. Every Gadotti Guitar is hand made in Orlando Florida, USA. Cost for the Buster B. Jones Legacy Model is $2,700. Recent Gadotti Guitars headlines
