Godin Guitars Releases Performance Series LG And Freeway Guitars With EMG Pickups
March 07, 2006
Advertisement The Godin Guitar family is proud to introduce two new offspring to the fold—the LG and the Freeway EMG Black Graphite models. Both were unveiled at this year's Winter NAMM show in Anaheim. Found in the already popular performance series, these guitars offer full out, blistering tone. The darkly alluring new black graphite semi gloss finish is a common bond between both guitars. However, both have different explosive personalities. The Freeway EMG possesses a sleek and aggressive double cutaway body style, made from a center block of Silver leaf maple with poplar wings to house a fixed bridge, volume and tone controls and a 3 way switch to select between 2 active EMG-81 humbuckers. These pickups combined with the guitar's 25" scale and Silver leaf maple center, will provide a lethal level of attack and screaming sustain. The LG EMG features a single cutaway, string through body design and the same controls as the Freeway EMG but combines a 24" scale, an all mahogany body and neck with an active EMG-85 humbucker in the neck and an EMG-81 humbucker in the bridge to offer up a warm and thick crushing wall of sound when needed. Assembled in Berlin, New Hampshire from finely crafted parts made in LaPatrie Quebec. Freeway EMG Specs: LG EMG Recent Godin headlines
