Grover Pro Percussion Upgrades PSM-2001 Marimbas With New Floating Bar Suspension System

April 12, 2006

Grover Pro Percussion, Inc. announces a significant innovation in marimba design. All Vancore® PSM-2001 4.3 octave marimbas have now been upgraded with the new Floating Bar Suspension System™.

This proprietary modular bar support system significantly increases bar resonance and tonal production. The new Vancore® system utilizes precision laser cut support rails which are angled to insure that each and every bar is supported exactly at the nodal point. Each support rail is coated with a unique insulating product. This accomplishes two goals, first - to insure that there is no metal to wood contact and second - to isolate the mounting rail from unwanted "secondary impact" sound. Unlike systems where individual tines are mounted into wooden rails, this suspension system is modular and functions as an integral part of an overall ergonomically designed instrument. The result is increased resonance and a reduction in unwanted mallet contact sound.

Available immediately on the immensely popular PSM-2001 marimba, the Vancore Floating Bar Suspension System™ will soon be available on other Vancore® keyboard instruments.
