HomeGrown Offers Halion, SoundFont, .Wav CDs

HomeGrown Sounds produces Sample CD's in Soundfont, Halion and WAV formats. Each CD is based on 200 large professional stereo CD quality samples, all with glitch free loop points.

The CD's retail at $39.99 each regardless of format, can be purchased via credit card and delivery is next working day. There are also free soundfonts/WAVS for download on the website.There are currently 2 Special Offers, Buy 2 CD's for $60 or 5 CD's for $100 for a limited period.

The HomeGrown Sounds website also includes 'the Ambience Generator' an interactive Flash toy, where you trigger 25 wavs to form endless ambient music. Every CD includes a CD quality stereo version of the Ambience Generator.

Halion Features:

• Each CD contains a total of 2816 presets.
• 20 Banks, each based on 10 samples across 128 presets
• Makes full use Halion's features to maximise sonic potential I-n every preset, Pitch bend and Aftertouch are assigned to Filter Cutoff, and modulation is assigned to Resonance.
• two more banks contain 128 presets, the first of which uses a selection of samples from the first 100 samples on the CD, and the second uses the final 100 samples.
• Additional banks will be added to the website for free download.

SoundFont Feature:

• Total of 100 soundfonts (200 samples).
• 16,000 total variations.
• 44.1 khz stereo samples.
• Soundfont v2.1 utilising aftertouch\modulation wheel to affect the cutoff. frequency.

.Wav Features:

• 200 Large 44.1khz stereo high quality samples, with well defined loop points ready to import into any sampler which can read PCM WAVS.

HomeGrown 800

A collection of stunning resonant textures and dreamy atmospheric pads, HomeGrown 800 provides source material for the creation of evocative soundscapes, classy Chill-Out grooves, and funky intelligent dance music. Indeed, the depth and quality of sounds on this CD evoke many musical reference points, including The Orb, Brian Eno, David Sylvian and Air. As used by The Electro-Acoustic Ensemble.

Ful Frequency

Combining subtle, futuristic textures with warmly atmospheric pads, Full Frequency is useful for creating film scores, and contains a wealth of sounds capable of adding a haunting, mellow ambience to just about any kind of music. References here include Labradford, Vangelis, and Fripp/Eno.

Guitar Textures

Guitar Textures is a beautifully crafted series of guitar movements. Synthesized from a real electric guitar, including ebow, the sounds on this CD are a beguiling mixture of the seductive and the experimental, calling to mind the work of artists such as Harold Budd, Robert Fripp and the Cocteau Twins.

Sand in the Sarnies

A  sometimes 'gritty' assortment of unpredictable pads and volatile textures,  Sand in the Sarnies combines a series of  dark ambient landscapes, with  eruptions of  industrial noise and constantly shifting rhythmic elements. Great for composing film scores and creating distinctive moods, the CD also contains a wealth of material for strange or dramatic sound effects, making dynamic use of high and low frequency contrasts. Echoes here of The Residents, Hammer Horror, and Eraserhead.

Timbres

With a distinctly electronic feel, Timbres is a collection of vibrantly retro sounds spanning the musical spectrum, suitable for any kind of electronic music (with some outstanding techno leads along the way!), from krautrock through to Vangelis, Orbital and the Aphex Twin.

Alchemy

This is a collection of instruments and landscapes, based on artificial and acoustic recordings, from uncomplicated instruments to extremely complex textures, Alchemy has it all. The sounds of this disk bring to mind The Orb, Trans Global Underground and This Mortal Coil. It is also an excellent disk for creating atmospheric soundtracks for film, game or multimedia.
