New from Hottie Mods by Steve McKinley is the Hottie Mods Brunette BOSS DS-1, a blend of Germanium and Silicon Overdrive. The Brunette's circuit and buffered output produces overdriven "Blackface" amp tones that are intended to work with any guitar/amp combination.

Features:

A combination of Germanium and Silicon diodes
Added low-end for full frequency response
Improved clarity
With added compression, chords swell and leads soar!
Tons of volume output. This is for overdriving tube amps or other overdrive pedals
Buffered output so that it can drive pedals or amps with a high current and low impedance signal
Lowered noise floor for near non-existent background noise even with the Drive at full
Super Blue LED

The mix of Germanium and Silicon diodes inserts three diodes in the distortion circuit so you can have a modern twist on a coveted vintage sound. It increases the gain and compression a bit for more sustain. With the Tone, Level and Drive controls, you can fine-tune from light overdrive tones to a roaring blue flame.

The Brunette can be powered by batteries or an external 9 Volt DC power supply.
