IMI Innovations Launches Input Logic Media Technology Division
November 24, 2006
Advertisement IMI Innovations, Inc. today announced the creation of Input Logic Media™, a division of IMI, to market Media Sector applications that open new doors in media technology. The innovative programs are designed for artists and musicians in the DJ production and performance sectors and come with remarkable features including drag-and-play drumming, moving object automation, infinite numbers of DJ turntables, and a large number and variety of independent multiple inputs. The Firm already has two products in the pipeline: Mob Drums (MSRP: $89.99) and Input Logic DJ (MSRP: $199.99). The first product in the media line, Mob Drums™, was released November 15, 2006. "Just open Mob Drums and the application senses which hand you're using, assigns left and right hand cursors to left and right hands, reads MIDI in-and-out, assigns pads to a 20-channel mixer, and auto-quantizes performances," says VP of Sales, Dan J. Hagedorn. Input Logic DJ™, which will release in early December 2006, "is the DJ Dream Machine", says Fairs. "...infinite numbers of turntables, multiple in-and-out systems, moving fader automation, time stretching, beat matching, MIDI...a remarkable convergence of innovative and powerful features." Both packages include two matched 800dpi IMI mice; a software disc with the Application, Content, and Tutorials. Also included are a specialized user Product Activation Code and an update card that entitles the user to free Internet updates. ILM has structured a launch of each product to be released through the 2006-2007 holiday season. User responses and other data from this release will be analyzed and product and other modifications will then be taken to the 2007 NAMM Show, Anaheim CA, to move forward with wider distribution. Product Specialists from the Input Logic Media Division hit the gearwire.com studios the week of November 1st, and production of the Internet video is complete and available to be viewed at www.gearwire.com and www.inputlogicmedia.com/products. Products in the pipeline range from the 'SX-1 Scratch Satellite', a bleeding edge DJ performance controller slated to be finished for Input Logic Media by award-winning Xbox designer, Walter Herbst, to KompuSketch, the bimanual and digital descendant of the etchy tool from the caves of Alta Mira.
