PRESS RELEASE
Vocoder/Filterbank for Chameleon Now Free
September 22, 2003
Advertisement Soundart released a new program for their rackmount DSP system - Infiltrator 1.0. It has been designed and developed by an independent professional engineer from Norway who has believed from the start in the power of the Chameleon platform. Soundart has been so impressed with the work that it has decided to buy the highly unusual soundskin to make it available to all Chameleon users for free. Infiltrator is principally a monster Vocoder that can recreate classic vocoder architectures, but it can also be anything from a DJ performance filter to a multiband compressor and detailed stereo EQ - a Chameleon-like application in itself! Highlights include:
Infiltrator 1.0 is available now as a free download for Chameleon users on the company's web site: www.soundart-hot.com/english/users1_7.htm The Chameleon houses in a 1U rack the same powerful Motorola DSP processing power as found in many top-name brands of audio hardware, along with 2 x 24bit I/O A/D D/A converters and MIDI I/O. Low-level Soundart code allows it to effectively function as a "blank canvas" for talented developers to use how they please. End-users load soundskins like Infiltrator via MIDI and the Chameleon instantly becomes a completely different tool.
