Anthony Jackson Anthony Jackson is truly a master of the instrument and widely regarded as the bassist's bassist. Initially trained on the piano, he switched to the bass after hearing Motown's James Jamerson. This fascination with the bass even extended to Jackson's research into the physics of the instrument, which led him to create the six-string bass, decades before they became widespread. His CV reads like a who's who of contemporary music, having recorded with artists as diverse as the Paul Simon, Buddy Rich, Chick Corea, Steely Dan, Donald Fagen, Chaka Khan, Lee Ritenour and Al Di Meola to name only a few! Mike Stern Spanning fifteen years and four Grammy nominations, Mike has carved out a unique reputation as a fluid, firely, lyrical and visionary musician. His extensive solo recording and touring projects have involved Mike collaborating with some of the greatest jazz musicians on the planet, including Jaco Pastorius, Richard Boner, Anthony Jackson, Dave Weckl, Denis Chambers, Steve Jordan, David Sanborn, Ron Carter and Jack DeJohnette to name only a few!
