Ionizer DX Released for Windows

Arboretum Systems announced Ionizer-DX, the Windows edition of Ionizer for Cool Edit Pro and Sound Forge, bringing noise removal and a number of other mixing, mastering and sound design applications to the Windows operating system. Ionizer's automatic Noise function identifies and eliminates unwanted hiss, hum, buzz and other interference with just a few mouse clicks. You can also use the manual Spectrum mode to selectively remove the noise "by hand" for extremely precise noise reduction. Ionizer's flexible interface allows it to be configured as a graphic EQ, a compressor, limiter, expander–or all of these at once. Unlike other analog and digital EQs, Ionizer's linear phase filters offer equalization that is entirely free of phase distortion. Ionizer features Arboretum's groundbreaking new "EQ theft" technology that allows one to steal the equalization curves from any recording. Just shoot the frequency profile of an example recording and use Ionizer's Frequency Morph function to map the mix's sonic fingerprint to any other recording! Foley and ADR engineers will love how Frequency Morph can help sound effects and overdubbed dialog blend in with the location recordings! Last but not least, Ionizer-DX features a 512 band Vocoder, which coupled with its powerful EQ and compression capability gives it a sound and a flexibility like no other Vocoder on the planet! Ionizer-DX operates as a plug-in effect within Cool Edit Pro and Sound Forge, and it will soon be available for all major DirectX host software such as Cakewalk, Cubase etc... A Pentium Computer, 233MHZ or higher, with Windows 95/98ME, NT 4.0 or Windows 2000, and a Windows compatible audio input/output card are required to run Ionizer-DX.
