August 15, 2002

Jackson/Charvel Guitars has introduced the new Jazz'R Pat Bergeson guitar, a hollowbody electric with similar features to an acoustic. The body of the guitar is made of spruce with a bookmatched figured maple top and back. The arched top and arched back are connected to the body wings at only the perimeter of the guitar and the bridge area, this allows the guitar to breathe and sing similarly to an acoustic guitar. The one-piece oiled mahogany through-neck is a shallow "V" shape with volute and runs through the body for increased sustain, warmth and clarity. The Jazz'R Pat Bergeson uses a tunamatic bridge with strings thru body, tortoise shell colored Rio Grande pickups (Jazz Bar-neck, Blues Bar-bridge), inlayed control knobs, abalone fingerboard inlay, 22 medium frets, 25" scale, bone nut, figured maple truss rod cover, locking Sperzel tuners, chrome hardware, branded logo and a special L.A. Rivergator case. Each is made in Jackson's USA production plant in California and the guitars are scheduled for an early October 2002 delivery. List price $2800.00 For more information, visit their web site at http://www.jacksonguitars.com/.Recent Jackson headlines
