New Limited Edition Sets from Mapex

Mapex Drums has unveiled a Limited Edition series of Carmel Fade M-Series Drumsets. The company is building just 300 drum kits with a one-time only Carmel Fade special finish. The kits, in both M-Series and Pro M Editions, will be available this summer. All 300 kits were pre-sold to Mapex dealers earlier this year.

The M-Series kits will carry a retail price of $1,099.00, while the Pro M Edition Kits are offered at $1,399.00. Mapex M-Series drum shells are made from North American maple and basswood, blending strength and beauty. These woods offer a wide tuning range and provide enhanced depth, attack and projection. All drums are outfitted with Remo designed Mapex drum heads, including a bass drum head with a special ultra-thin Mylar underlay behind the body of the head, providing self-muting.

The Carmel Fade lacquer finish is an 8-coat translucent polyurethane finish that is applied to the outer maple veneer; this presents an exceptional solid outer beauty in faded carmel. A final protective hand-coat shields against unexpected scratches.
