Lava Cable Adds Cardas Audio Cable To Product Line

Lava Cable has added Cardas Audio Cable to its product line. These new cable products include the Golden Chord guitar/microphone cable and the Crosslink Speaker Cable. Lava Cable is one of a select few authorized cable manufacturers for Cardas Audio, a company with more than 20 years experience making high-end audio cables in the United States.

The Golden Chord guitar cable placed third overall with a score of 87.5 out of a 100 in the Vintage Guitar magazine cable shootout entitled "Cable Summit" done by writer and beta tester Eric Kirkland in May 2003. Mr. Kirkland stated: "George Cardas, devotee of the famous Litz stranding technique and the finest materials, is well known for creating some of the world's top-performing audio cables. The Golden Chord instrument cable follows in that tradition, delivering gorgeous tone and high resolution. As well, the feel is fantastic, with notes having just the right amount of give." Neutrik straight and G&H right angle plugs are used and each cable is assembled using German-made WBT Silver Solder.

The Crosslink is one of Cardas Audio's premier speaker cables and is a 4-conductor cable made using special patented litz stranding techniques. Also mentioned in the Cable Summit article, Mr. Kirkland said the Crosslink speaker cable "Is one of the most impressive I've encountered for any style application, with a near perfect ratio of punch, volume, mids, sweet highs and transparency."

The Golden Chord retails at $169.95 for a 20 foot cable. The Crosslink Speaker Cable retails at $37.95 for a 3 foot cable. As with all Lava Cable products, numerous custom length and connector options are available. These cables can be purchased and custom ordered from Lava Cable's website.
