PRESS RELEASE
Sound Synthesis Master Class With Peter Schwartz Scheduled
November 16, 2007
Advertisement This Sound Synthesis Master Class is intended for music producers and artists who already have some experience with D.A.W. software, preferably Logic Pro 7 or 8, and who would like to further their understanding of both software and hardware synthesizers. You will spend two days with a top music industry professional learning how to translate that sound in your head into a synth patch you can play and use for your productions. You will start with the basics of analog sound synthesis, and slowly add the building blocks that will allow you to create more complex sounds. As you leave the workshop, you will have gained such a solid knowledge of synthesis that no software or hardware synth will be a mystery for you anymore, and you will only use presets as a base to start building YOUR sounds. Each student will be provided a station with a 20" iMac Intel Core 2 Duo and Logic Pro 8, and a MIDI Controller Keyboard. Although not required, it is highly recommended to bring your own set of headphones. Topics covered:
