LR Baggs Introduces "Body Sensitive" Pickup
January 05, 2004

LR Baggs has developed what they are calling world's first body sensitive, the M1. What makes it different? The "secret" is the patent-pending Tri-Axial Dynamic technology developed by Gary Garrett and Lloyd Baggs. Within the pickup a humbucking coil is suspended beneath a string sensing coil, and is free to move as a three axis accelerometer in response to body vibrations. The M1 combines a traditional string pickup and a 3 dimensional body pickup - so it is really a pre-blended dual source system all within one passive pickup according to the company. A 1/8" jack is built into the M1 body to make it a snap to take it in and out. The pickup includes a strapjack pre-wired with Mogami cable and a 12 foot Mogami guitar cable. It's user-installable in seconds and there is no battery. List Price: $199 Available: February 2004 For more information, visit their web site at http://www.lrbaggs.com/.Recent L.R. Baggs headlines
