Input Module Output Module

ENSONIQ has started shipping 24 bit 8 channel input and 24 bit 8 channel output modules for the Modular Expansion Chassis, (Interface MEC). These are the first in a series of I/O expansion modules for the PARIS digital audio recording system. The Modular Expansion Chassis (Interface MEC), comes standard with PARIS 3 bundles and is a 5 rack space unit with the ability to accept up to 9 expansion modules. Other modules planned for future release are the ADAT optical digital interface with 9 pin sync, AES/EBU interface, SMPTE interface with VITC and TDIF, (Tascam digital interface).

The 24 bit 8 channel analog input and output expansion modules, (A8iT-24 and A8oT-24 respectfully), support balanced connections via standard quarter inch TRS connectors. Recessed level-trim screws provide access to high precision, multi-turn potentiometers, allowing the user to set the input/out sensitivity for each channel independently. For the 8 input module, two buttons allow the user the option of connecting or floating the ground for channels 1 - 4 or channels 5 - 8 separately. For the 8 output module, two buttons can configure the ground for channels 1 - 4 or 5 - 8 to be balanced or compensated. Flexible signal routing for recording, mixing and external signal processing is achieved by using the software Patch Bay in the PARIS application.

The introduction of the 24 bit I/O modules for PARIS makes true 24 bit recording a reality at an unprecedented price point. The new 24 bit 8 channel input and output modules have a MSRP of $499.95 each, US.
